IOWA CITY, Iowa (AP) - Iowa seniors Bryce Cartwright and Matt
Gatens have accepted invitations to play for a team that will
compete in a tournament in Estonia in August.
Cartwright and Gatens will represent the U.S. on team that will
participate in the Four Nations Cup against squads from Georgia,
Estonia and Sweden from July 31 until Aug. 8.
Cartwright led the Big Ten in assists last season with 123 in
league games.
Gatens led the Hawkeyes with 12.6 points per game

DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) - Iowa has announced the coach Lisa Bluder
has signed a seven-year contract extension through 2018.
Athletic director Gary Barta announced the deal Tuesday.
Financial terms of the contract were not immediately available.
Bluder has coached the Hawkeyes for the past 11 seasons,
compiling a record of 211-132.
Bluder has been named the Big Ten's Coach of the Year three
times, and she's led Iowa to the NCAA tournament in each of the
last four seasons.
The Hawkeyes finished 22-9 in 2010-11 but were knocked out by
Gonzaga in the opening round of the NCAAs.
